PEACE ON EARTH: An Evening of Song, Dance & Inspiration

Imagine, if you will, a one day a year event where we, the people, from all communities, come together to share with each other, blessing life, bridging the gap between cultures, being one global family. SOS Children’s Village BC’s recent holiday fundraiser did just that on Friday December 8th at the Bell Performing Arts Centre, featuring performances reflecting the cultural mosaic of the world around us.  Choirs, new age & traditional musical ensembles, dance companies – more than 150 performers in all took part in the gala event.  Choreographed by Judith Marcuse, the event was a huge hit and will definitely become an annual must!

PARADE OF TREES AT GROUSE MOUNTAIN

November 24th to December 24, 2006

SOS Children's Village, BC, is ecstatic to be joining Grouse's famous Peak of Christmas celebrations for a fourth year. Hosted at the Peak Chalet in the Spirit Gallery, the 4th annual SOS Children’s Village BC Parade of Trees, presented by RE/MAX, is a key fundraiser where corporations sponsor trees for $1,000 and try to outdo their competition with dazzling decorations.  Starting November 24th, individuals and families visiting Grouse Mountain can enjoy the trees, meet Santa, enjoy a crackling fire, Christmas carols, and a sleigh ride through the mystical alpine forest.
